Dr. GAO Chong organized a conference panel entitled “Sociology of Enterprises: Chinese Modernization and Development of Enterprise” at the Annual Meeting of Chinese Sociological Association (CSA) held from July 8 to July 9, 2023 at Nankai University, Tianjin city (in collaboration with Prof. Liu Zhijun in Sociology Department at Zhejiang University, China).

A keynote speech entitled “Small Enterprise and Big Market” had been given by Prof. Zhou Daming (Distinguished Professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Program, Professor at Yunnan Normal University and National Sun Yat-sen University). The speech and the following Q & A session was chaired by Prof. Zhang Jijiao (Member of National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Professor at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences).

In total, 37 papers had been accepted for presentation. Presenters came from many top universities in China, such as Peking University, The University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, National Sun Yat-sen University, Shandong University, East China Normal University, and others. This panel also provided a good opportunity to scholars and research students in the area of business enterprise and social enterprise to exchange their ideas and form a new research network.
