Celebrating Cultural Diversity

On June 16, our Department held a simple acknowledgement ceremony so as to thank for the contribution of the Africa Centre Hong Kong, which has been organizing professional, informative and fun field trips for the sociology students. In the field trip, students learnt about the history and the unique culture of the African community in Chung King Mansion, the African food heritage through gaming, and the musical culture through the drumming session. Two representatives from the Africa Centre, Chihiro SHIMIZU, the project manager, and Tinotenda Kelvin MUZARIRI, the project assistant, attended the ceremony and received our souvenirs. We had a joyful lunch afterwards.
