An event to celebrate the academic and social contributions of Professor Cheung Yuet-wah was organized by the Dept. of Sociology, CUHK, on Aug. 17, 2018. The event was attended by more than 50 academics and agency staff who have worked with Professor Cheung in the past 20 years. Speeches on Professor Cheung’s academic career, research projects on drug abuse, and community involvement were delivered by Professor Rance Lee (his mentor), Professor Nicole Cheung (his former PhD student) , and Ms Angelique Tam, JP (Chief executive of SARDA), respectively. The event was videotaped by staff of Media Lab of Dept. of J&C, and the clips have been uploaded to Media Lab’s website and YouTube. The links are:
