Dr. Weishan Huang Presents Research in Germany

Bad Belzig, Germany—Dr. Weishan Huang, a faculty member of the Sociology Department, presented her paper, "Religion, Modernity, and China," at the fifth workshop on Qualitative Social Research and Transregional Theory-Building in Global Sociology on May 21.

Organized by the University of Leipzig, this international research network convenes scholars from Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia to advance global sociological theory through systematic comparisons of research findings. Building on the success of previous workshops, including the "Biography and Family" workshop hosted by Hong Kong Shue Yan University in May 2024, this event continues its mission of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Bad Belzig workshop serves as a vital forum for intellectual exchange, contributing to the forthcoming Handbook of Global Sociology, under contract with Oxford University Press.
