The XX ISA World Congress of Sociology was held in Melbourne, Australia between 25th June and 1st July 2023. Three members of our Department had successfully presented their papers and received positive comments from the audience:

• Dr. Flora Lau presented a paper “Healing through Social Media: Experiences of Ethnic Minority Cancer Patients and Survivors in Hong Kong” on 29th June. She also co-organized a session “Migration in Asia – Integration and Cultural Diversity” which was held on 26th June with another scholar of the field.

• Dr. Li Hang presented two papers on zoom, namely “Strategic Interaction and Tactical Shift in the Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Movement” on 28th June and “Social Media Use, Prosocialness, Life Satisfaction and Political Participation of Hong Kong Young People” on 1st July.

• Dr. Gigi Lam presented a paper “Pilot Scheme on Community Care Service Voucher for the Elderly in Hong Kong: Implications for Long-Term Care Policy” on 30th June.
